Kenneth Bulmer
Henry Kenneth Bulmer (January 14th, 1921 - December 16th, 2005) is a British author, of Science-fiction mainly, born with London. He married Pamela Buckmaster on March 7th, 1953, with which he had a son and two girls. The husbands divorced in 1981. Bulmer lived with Tunbridge Wells, in the Kent, in England.
Extremely prolific writer, Bulmer published more than 160 novels and a very great number of news, under his own name like under many pseudonyms. Its long series of planetary lovesongs Dray Prescot, for example, were initially published under the name of Alan Burt Akers, then under the name of the protagonist and narrator of the series, Prescot itself.
The writings of Bulmer are popular in certain nonanglophone countries, in particular in Germany, so much so that some were published only in German editions, whereas the English original versions were not it.
Bulmer was also active in the world of the fans of science fiction, and it went until going to the the United States in 1955 as delegated of TransAtlantic Fan Fund (TAFF).
In the years 1970, it compiled nine job numbers of anthologies New Writings in Science Fiction (new writings in science fiction), succeeding John Carnell, who is at the origin of the series.
