Kenavo

Kenavo is the title of a Chanson of the Chanteur Gerard Jaffrès. The word Breton Kenavo means in French Au-revoir . This song left in 1999 is sung at the end in all its concerts and is very appreciated of the public. It appears on the albums With the Hollow of my ground (1999) and Viens in my house (2003).

Words

I was cold very often in these countries of North,
Gelé with the gray of their décors.
But they gave me, so received so much on their premises,
I never could tell them adieu.
And then these girls of Flandres
Who taught me the love,
Ca was worth well small a détour.
At the time to leave, I left them these words
Which one says of Brest to Saint Malo.

Kenavo, like one says at moi.

Kenavo, one reverra.
Kenavo, how to forget that?
Kenavo, I would pass by again by it.

I was hot very often in these countries of the South,

I burned under their latitudes.
If I like the sun, will also know,
I like to feel or comes the vent.
I learned the respect, I learned the friendship,
Pris lessons of tolérance.
is not to say good-bye to say it is mots
That one says of Nantes to Concarneau

Refrain

Sûr that my voyage will stop a jour.

I will pose my bag for always,
With close to a shepherdess or of a prostitute,
Of a girl which will want moi.
well I will promise to be wise, to fly away more,
to look at time passer.
wants less than one insane of him to launch these words
Which one says of Lorient to Landerneau.
