Kekou

Kekou (or Kek ) is the divine concept in the Ogdoade hermopolitaine which incarnates darkness before creation. He is thus known as “that which brings light of day”. It is the god of the night which precedes the first paddle.

He has like Parèdre the goddess Kekout (or Keket ); like all the male members of Ogdoade, Kekou is represented as a man with head of Grenouille.

The Dr. Brugsch compares the couple “Kekou and Kekout” with the Greek god Érèbe.
