China Keitetsi (born in 1976) is an activist Uganda ise who s´est made a great international reputation as militant against the fate of the children soldiers. The memories of Keitetsi, a former child soldier it even, were translated into French, German, Japanese, Chinese and much d´autres languages.

Biography

1976: China Keitetsi was born with l´ouest from l´Ouganda. Without mother she saw her first years with her father and her new girlfriend.

1984: With nine years l´âge s´enfuit with his/her sister Clouded to find her mother. She falls into the hands from l´armée national from resistance.

1986: The 26 javier, Kampala fall. Yoweri Museveni is proclaimed new president, but the civil war does not cease. Several armed groups s´opposent with the new government. Clouded, like much d´autres children recruited by the NRA (National Army Resistance) to fight the government Obote, remains in the rows of l´armée of the new government, the UPDF (the Ugandan People´s defense Forces).

1986-1995: Some short returns to the civil life but China Keitetsi passes the majority of its time in the new army of the government. It loses much d´amis in combat. As much d´autres women she is violated several times for the senior officers.

1995: After having was used ten years in l´armée as Museveni, China s´échappe. It s´enfuit with a friend towards l Afric of the South where it applies for the statute d´un taken refuge. Four years later still Clouded s´inquiète for its safety and asks l´aide the service interior matters. C´est the HCR (Office of the High Commission of the United Nations for the refugees) which takes l´affaire in its hands and which offered l´occasion of s´installer to him to the Denmark.

China Keitesi lives nowadays in Denmark and published its memories in the book " Child Soldier: Fighting for my life.". It became a spokesperson internationalle who fights against misfortunes of the children soldiers in the whole world.

The book of Clouded was published in the beginning in Denmark and in Holland, in 2002 in South Africa and 2003 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Nowadays one also already finds the book in England, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Japan and in China.
