The Kehä I (Swedish: Ring I ) is a peripheral road capital Helsinki and the principal highway of Finland in term of traffic, with to 100.000 vehicles per day.
Of the 3 peripherals of Helsinki, it is closest to the downtown area (between 7 and 12 kilometers of distance), covering a course buckles some between Tapiola, at the Eastern end of Espoo, and Itäkeskus, at the Eastern end of the municipality of Helsinki. Its overall length is of 24.2 km, including 16 on the commune of Helsinki.
The road counts according to the places two or three files in each direction, and the speed limit is never higher than 80 km/h there. Because of the residual presence of traffic lights, the ends (in particular towards the west) are prone to frequent congestions, which should be reduced by the construction envisaged of exchanging at all the exits.
