Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz

Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz , born the December 20th 1959 with Gorzów Wielkopolski), is a politician Polish, Prime Minister of the Poland of the October 31st 2005 with the July 10th 2006 and former mayor of Warsaw. He is member of the Loi conservative party and Justice ( Prawo I Sprawiedliwość or PiS ).

Marcinkiewicz follows studies of Physique to the University of Wrocław and in graduate fate in 1984. In the Years 1980, Marcinkiewicz is invested in the movement Solidarność and publishes booklets clandestinely. He works then as teacher, then as director of nursery school in his birthplace of Gorzów Wielkopolski. In 1992, he becomes Secretary of State at the minister of education main road until 1993. Of 1999 with 2000, it occupies the position of principal private secretary of the Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek.

In 2001, he is elected with the Sejm, and is named president of the group Droit and justice to the Parliament.

Its nomination by the victorious conservative parties of the legislative elections of September 2005 is a surprise. The president of the party PiS Jarosław Kaczyński gave up aspiring to the post of Prime Minister for not gèner the presidential candidate of his twin Lech Kaczyński. The president Aleksander Kwaśniewski announces that it will name Marcinkewicz to form new gouvernment October 19th 2005. The nomination is effective the October 31st. The Diet or Sejm voted a motion of confidence to the government of Marcinkiewicz the November 10th, that this last directs with the parties of extreme right-hand side Ligue of the Polish families and Autodéfense. Four ministers of this government were members of the Opus Dei (cf).

The July 7th 2006, it announced at the political committee PiS its intention to resign of the station of Prime Minister. Worse wished than Jarosław Kaczyński becomes the new Prime Minister.

Marcinkiewicz is married in Maria Marcinkiewicza and the couple has four children: Maciej (born in 1982), Urszula (83), Stanisław (87) and Piotr (95).

At the time of the municipal elections of November 2006, it loses the municipality of Warsaw vis-a-vis Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz.
