Kawakami Araya
This character belongs to the universe of the Inhabitant of infinite the .
He belongs to the first thirty men and thus of the most important members of the Ittô-Ryû. Its history is rather tragic: his wife died by leaving their son, Renzô, orphan. Araya thus decided to take it with him but, refusing that it follows the same way that him, it hid to him its membership of the Ittô-Ryû (in fact Renzô is even unaware of that the Ittô-Ryû exists). At the time of a fète has Naito-Shinjuku, Araya met Manji and defied it, the duel turned nevertheless runs with the arrival of Renzô. Flax, obviously upset by the sight of Araya, decided to only face it but this last being well too strong, Manji had to intervene to save its protected. The combat opposing Manji to Araya was enclosed by the death of this last under the eyes of his/her son.
Araya, just like Renzô, is a tragic figure: it moves away from the Ittô-Ryû to devote themselves to his son and to try to hide its true face to him. However it cannot escape its past which will end up catching up with it. Araya is obnubilated so much by its secrecy towards his/her son whom he does not hesitate to kill Lin, which had however come without hatred.
In the civilian, Araya is a painter of mask, it is under this appearance that he will deceive Manji.
