Kaustinen
Kaustinen is a municipality west of the Finland, in area of Ostrobotnie-Power station.
Under its airs of agricultural village and small administrative center dormant in the plains of Ostrobotnie, it is one of the musical capitals of Finland.
Indeed, its festival of Musique folk acquired since its creation in 1968 an international repute and attracts each year at the time of the second week of July a large hundred a thousand of visitors.
Another significant event is the festival of Chamber music, each year in February since 1979, the more important second in Finland in this category after that of Kuhmo.
Apart from that, the small commune, crossed by the river Perhonjoki and its agricultural valley, is largely deprived of relief and does not show a spectacular characteristic. Main road 13 connects it to Kokkola (the regional capital, to 45 km) and to Jyväskylä.
The close municipalities are Kälviä in north, Ullava in the North-East, Halsua in south-east, Veteli in the south and finally Kronoby in the west, in Ostrobotnie.
