Katti Anker Møller
Katti Anker Møller (1868 - 1945) was a Norwegian Féministe , lawyer E of the right of the children, and a pionnière of the reproduction rights. It passed to the posterity under the name of lawyer of the mothers .
Born Cathrine Anker with Hamar, it is the girl of Hermann Anker. She had nine brothers and sisters and was high in the environment of the first folkehøyskole with Sagatun (Hamar), rested by her father. She received a formation of teaching and she spent one year in France where its exposure to the life of the Prostituée S and the mothers alone deeply affected it. His/her mother died in 50 years, apparently tired her many Grossesse S.
In 1889, it Maria with her cousin Kai Møller of Thorsø with Torsnes (which forms now part of Fredrikstad) and with which it had three children. Møller was quickly interested in the dangers to have too many children and the situation of the nonmarried women and their child. Its method was to travel and form at local meetings, which was a revolutionary approach for a woman of its time.
In collaboration with her brother-in-law Johan Castberg, she worked hard to legislate on the rights of the illegitimate children. Its work ended in the introduction of the Castberg laws in favor of the children ( Castbergske barnelover ) voted by the Norwegian Parliament in 1915. At that time, these laws were revolutionists by giving to the illegitimate children the right to the heritage and the right to use the name of their father.
Then it was active on the decriminalisation of the Avortement, an idea that it presented in an entitled conference the release of the maternity which met a sharp opposition, also on behalf of women.
She was not dissuaded and continued her efforts and added the Contraception to her causes. In spite of the opposition of leaders of opinion such as Sigrid Undset, it succeeded in installing the first " office of hygiène" with Oslo to inform the women on contraception.
She says one day: " all that I achieved, was in the honor of my mère."
