Katrien Delavier
Catherine Delavier is a French Celtic harpist born in French Flanders in 1961. Its Flemish name Katrien is the mark of its membership or its attachment to the Flanders, or more precisely to the Flemish culture.
Katrien Delavier died of a cancer in the night from September 21st to 22nd 1998. A homage was paid to him within the framework of the International meetings of Celtic Toothing-stone of Dinan (Brittany), the July 10th 1999; like with the Bordered Dunkirk , in its town of residence, in September 1999.
It was traditional Harpiste during its formation, but was directed very quickly towards nylon the Celtic cord toothing-stone, bronzes. During years, she played in Duo with Gerald Ryckeboer, like with Jacques Yvart and of many other musicians (like John Wright or Jean-Michel Veillon, for example).
Its work was mainly centered on the toothing-stone out of metal and more precisely with bronze cords.
