Katipunan
The Katipunan is a founded secret society in 1882 with the Filipino by Andres Bonifacio with an aim of releasing the country of the Spanish colonizers. Its official name is in Tagalog: Kataastaasang, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (roughly: Supreme and Worthy Association of Wire of the People ; Katipunan is derived from the root tipon which means " récolter"). Katipunan is also known under the Sigle KKK, which can make it confuse with the Ku Klux Klan.
In order to give to its revolutionary movement a prestige which it did not have and, according to certain historians, to compromise - and to get rid some - the political adversary which for him the very intellectual Jose Rizal was, Andres Bonifacio made it name against its liking honorary president of his movement.
