Kati Wilhelm

Kati Wilhelm , born the August 2nd 1976, is a German biathlète .

After practisehaving initially practiced the ski touring, disciplines of which it disputed the Winter Olympics of 1998 with Nagano, it decides into 1999 to test biathlon. It gains as of the year 2000 its first victory in World cup. Then, the following year, it gains its first world title.

At the time of the Winter Olympics of 2002 of Salt Lake City, it gains two gold medals, the sprint and the relay, and the money medal of continuation.

It becomes one of best the biathlètes world, finishing the season 2005-2005 in the second place of the general classification of the world cup. At the time of the following season, it is at the head classification when presents the Winter Olympics of 2006 to Turin.

It is first of all carries flag of the German deleguation at the time of the opening ceremony. Following the sprint of which it finishes in the 7th place, it springs on the test of continuation at 18 seconds of the Frenchwoman Florence Baverel-Robert.
