Kathy Jordan

Kathryn “Kathy” Jordan (born on December 3rd 1959 with Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania) is an American player of Tennis , Professionnel of June 1979 at September 1981.

In 1983, it reached the final of the Open of Australia into simple ladies; but with the difference his/her older sister Barbara, victorious of Sharon Walsh four years earlier, it inclines herself vis-a-vis favorite the Martina Navrátilová. Nearly twenty years before the Williams, it is then the first time that two sisters reach one and the other at such a stage of the competition in Grand Slam, since Maud and Lillian Watson with Wimbledon in 1884.

It is however into double ladies that Kathy Jordan is most particularly illustrated, gaining more than forty titles WTA in this speciality, including five in Grand Slam, each one at least once.

She finally was essential twice in mixed double with Ken Flach in 1986, with Roland-Garros and Wimbledon.
