Kathleen Evin
Kathleen Evin is a French journalist , stimulating of an emission on France Inter.
Born in Martinique in 1950, Kathleen Evin is raised by a naval officer of origin Breton and a mother resulting from desilvered a beakful big family. With a father whose Vichyist past was not foreign with the antigaullism, it bathes in a home environment of right-hand side but without religious attachment. It carries out its secondary studies in a catholic college. Graduate at sixteen years, it continues then studies of rights to Montpellier and Paris. Two years later, it integrates the Institut of political studies of Paris in second year while continuing its studies of right.
It is committed in 1971 as associated administrative secretary of the socialist group to the National Assembly. Thus it weaves bonds with the major part of the socialist elected officials, and particularly with Gaston Defferre and François Mitterrand. Taking part in the development of projects of Law S (Abortion, Contraception, etc), she collaborates in the Unit and the groups of the experts of the PS. Partisane of alliance with the PCF and of the common Program, it then has a very clear sympathy to CERES. But following the legislative elections of 1973, it deviates some for its internal practices and its positions on the abortion. In 1974, it takes part in the presidential campaign of François Mitterrand with, amongst other things, the load of the D.O.M. - T.O.M.
In October 1975, it turns over towards the Journalisme, Claude Perdriel recruits it with the economic Press. It is then committed in the newspaper “Nouvel Observateur” with the political service. It is initially in load of the follow-up of the majority and the center before following the P.S. as from April 1977. It interview then François Mitterrand, Jacques Attali, Pierre Joxe and Gaston Defferre.
It publishes in 1979 a book criticizes ( Michel Rocard or the art of possible the , J.C. Simoën).
In 1985, then member of the office of the company of the writers of “Nouvel Observateur” and it tries to be opposed to the reforms in progress. It leaves the weekly magazine in 1986 to collaborate in another newspaper, the Morning (1986-1987). It takes part in the presidential campaign of 1988 as attached to the relations of François Mitterrand with the press. She saw then measuring rods for daily newspapers (the Platform, France-Evening) and weekly magazines then with France Inter.
