Katherine Harris
Katherine Harris (born the April 5th 1957) is an American personality political of the State of Florida.
Republican, Harris is member of the Chambre of the Representatives of the United States for the 13th district of Florida. It takes its functions in January 2003 after having gained with the parliamentary elections of 2002. Before its service at the Parliament, Harris was Secretary of State in Florida of the governor Jeb Bush. It took part in recounts discussed in Florida at the time of the presidential elections if disputed of 2000, which saw the victory of Georges W. Bush, brother of the governor. Its actions at the time of this election were worth many criticisms to him.
The June 7th 2005, Harris announced its candidature for the Senate, thus causing the outgoing democratic candidate Bill Nelson. Katherine Harris courts the American religious line vote while being defined as " chrétienne" , Anti-abortion, opposed to the Homosexual marriage and the laicization of the government.
