Kataklysm

Kataklysm is a group of Death metal Québécois formed in 1992. Formerly pioneer of the Québécois extreme music with influences Grindcore (Death Napalm) and death metal (Cannibal Corpse, Possessed), Kataklysm became with more melody and accessible time, while remaining an extreme group of metal. This change of management musical is partly due to the reference of the singer Sylvain Houde. Thereafter, Kataklysm took a turn towards a new sound which is single for them which will be called " Northern Hyperblast" on their third album Victims off this Fallen World . Their single sound combining at the same time melody and happy Blast S was concretized more on their fourth and fifth albums. It is especially with the exit of Shadows and Dust in 2002 and of Serenity in Fire into 2004 that the group was posted like one of the new leaders of the scene death metal and was recognized internationally. They made rounds with major groups like Dimmu Borgir and Unearth (March 2007), Behemoth (September 2007) and Chimaira (November-December 2007).
