Kastriot Islami (born the August 18th 1952 with Tirana, Albania) is an Albanian politician. The April 3rd 1992, when the last communist president, Ramiz Combined, resigns, Islami was president during 3 days.

Islami held the stations of:

• Member of Albanian Parliament (1991 - present)

• Minister for education (1991)
• Speaker of the Albanian Parliament (1991 - 1992)
• Minister for the state (1997 - 1998)
• Vice Prime Minister (April 1998 - October 1998)
• Minister for Finance (February 2002 - December 2003)
• Foreign Minister (December 12th 2003 - present)
