Kastamonu (province)

The province of Kastamonu is one of the 81 Province S (in Turkish: it , in the singular, and it in the plural) of the Turkey.

Its Turkish prefecture (: valiliği ) is in the éponyme city Kastamonu.

Geography

Its surface is of 13.108 km ².

Population

With the census of 2000, the province was populated approximately 376.725 inhabitants, that is to say a Population density of approximately 27 hab. /km ².

Administration

The province is managed by a Turkish prefect (: vali )

The province is divided into 20 Turkish districts (: ilçe , in the singular): Abana, Ağlı, Araç, Azdavay, Bozkurt, Cide, Çatalzeytin, Daday, Devrekanı, Doğanyurt, Hanönü, İhsangazi, İnebolu, Kastamonu, Küre, Pınarbaşı, Seydiler, Şenpazar, Taşköprü and Tosya.
