Kassaman
Qassaman (Arab: قَسَمًا) was adopted temporarily like National anthem by the Algérie shortly after its independence, in 1963 ( Algerian Constitution of 1963, Article 75 ). Its words were written by the nationalist poet Moufdi Zakaria on April 25th 1955, using its blood like ink on the walls, whereas it was in the prison of Barberousse (cell n° 69) with Alger.
La music being the work of Mohamed Fawzi. The anthem was played for the first time in 1957.
