Karst of China of the South
The karst of China of the South are in several southernmost provinces of the China, in particular the Guangxi, the Guizhou and the Yunnan. This area of the country is famous for its ic landscapes Karst and its biodiversity.
Some among most remarkable were registered in 2007 on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO.
Geographical distribution
The karstic formations registered with the world heritage are divided into three groups:- the karst of Libo , on the territory of the County of Libo, in the south of the province of the Guizhou, includes/understands the two sites of the Karst to pitons of Da-Xiao Qikong and of the Karst to pitons of Maolan ;
- the karst of Shilin , on the territory of the autonomous County yi of Shilin, in the south-east of the province of the Yunnan, includes/understands the two sites of stone the Forêt of Naigu and of the central Forêt of stones ;
- the karst of Wulong , on the territory of the County of Wulong, in the south of the municipality of Chongqing, includes/understands the three sites of the giant Doline of Qingkou , of the Three natural bridges and the Réseau of caves of Furong .
