Karole Armitage
Danse uses and American choreographer , Karole Armitage was born with Madison (Wisconsin) the March 3rd 1954. After studies of ballet dancing, it comes to Europe to dance the repertory of Balanchine to the Grand Theater of Geneva. Turned over to the the United States in 1973, it discovers the teaching of Merce Cunningham which engages it in its company.
It starts to create its own choreographies in 1978 and founds its company two years later with New York. It also created parts for many American and European companies
It also carried out choreographies of video clips of Madonna ( Vogue , 1991) and of Michael Jackson ( In the Closet , 1992).
