Karol Lipiński
Karol Josef Lipiński (born the October 30th 1790 with Lublin - died the December 16th 1861 with Lviv today in Ukraine) is a Violoniste, Compositeur, leader and pedagog Polish.
Lipinski was famous in whole Europe at the beginning of the XIXe century.
In 1817 it made the voyage in Italy to meet and listen to Paganini. This one dedicated its burlesques Variations on " The Carnival of Venise" , COp 10 for solo violin. In 1827, Lipinski dedicated to Paganini in return its opus 10. The rival virtuosity of the two compromised men their friendship.
In 1820, of passage to Berlin, it meets Louis Spohr.
In 1835 it meets Schumann in Leipzig which spoke in praise of it.
In 1836 during a round in England, he plays his " Militaire" concerto; with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestrated .
In June 1839 it is at the same time First violin with the orchestra of Dresden and Kapellmeister to the vault of the court. The relations were rather tended between Lipinski and the young person Wagner.
He is the author of ten concertos for violin.
A Stradivarius of 1715 - having also belonged to Tartini - bears its name.
The higher Academy of music of the town of Wrocław in Poland, bears its name.
