Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof
The Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof (or Karlsruhe Hbf) is the central Gare of Karlsruhe, in the south of the city. The every day approximately 55.000 travellers and visitors attend the station.
The first stone was posed in 1910, the station opened its doors after three years of work.
Approximately 150 trains stop per day, mainly ICE and of the IC of the " Rheinstrecke" , and also of the trains circulating towards Strasbourg and Stuttgart. Following the Model of Karlsruhe of many regional trains as of S-Bahn stop at the station, part of the latter also in front of the station (on Bahnhofplatz).
Since June 2007 the TGV stops in Karlsruhe, thus connecting Paris in 3:05 (against 5:05 before). The TGV continues towards Stuttgart, and at the end of 2007 TGV should also connect Munich.
