Karl Theodor Hartweg

Karl Theodor Hartweg (1812 - 1871) is a German Botaniste . He collects many S of plants in Colombia, in Ecuador, with the Guatemala, the Mexico and in California on behalf of the Royal Horticultural Society. Many species which he discovers are published, and allotted, by George Gordon (1806-1879), the person in charge of the garden of the Company and specialist in the coniferous , which were well represented in the collections of Hartweg.
