Karl Schranz

Karl Schranz , born on November 18th 1938 with Sankt Anton, is a alpine skier Austrian member of the Ski Club of Arlberg.

Biography

It was essential in the Kandahar 1957 then in 1958 and 1959.

Its career lasted nearly 15 years and it gained 3 titles of world champion (descent and combined 1962 and giant 1970), 2 world cups (1969 and 1970), several victories with the Kandahar and two K of diamond. However, it did not gain an Olympic title .

It stopped the competition after its exclusion of the Olympic Games 1972 of Sapporo for professionalism.
