Karl Philipp Sebottendorf

Karl Philipp Sebottendorf van DER Pink , born in 1740 and dead the April 11th 1818 with Vienna is an Austrian general.

Resulting from a family of famous soldiers, it joined the regiment of Waldeck at 18 years, like Enseigne, after being last with the Military academy of Wiener-Neustadt.

It becomes captain only in 1779, then becomes major (1784), colonel (1789), and finally general - major in 1793. It orders then a brigade with the Luxembourg, and is distinguished on September 2nd with Havre, at the time of a continuation. It is promoted Feldmarshallleutnant in 1796, year when it receives a division. It is sent in Italy to counter the young general Bonaparte, under the orders of Wurmser. It is initially overcome with the Bataille of the bridge of Lodi, whereas it orders the Arrière-garde of Beaulieu.

Separated from the principal body, it is still beaten with the Mincio the day before the Bataille of Borghetto. It rejoins its troops defeats however quickly, attacks Valeggio with its cavalry, where it misses little capturing the Bonaparte general. It makes then retirement in Venezia Julienne.

It is then affected at the military court of call.
