Karl Friedrich Reiche

Karl Friedrich Reiche (or Carlos Federico Reiche ) is a German Botaniste , born the October 31st 1860 with Dresden and dead the February 26th 1929 with Munich.

It obtains its doctorate in 1885 with Leipzig. It is corresponding Deutschen Botanischen Gesellschaft (German botanical Company). He teaches in the universities of the Chile and the Mexico. He is a voluntary collaborator of the Botanical garden of the University of Munich (Botanische Staatssammlung Botanischer Garten München-Nymphenburg) of Munich.

The S Reichea (today Myrcianthes) of Myrtaceae, Reichenecactus of the family of the Cactaceae and Reicheella of the family of the Caryophyllaceae were dedicated to him.
