Karl Ferdinand Werner
Karl Ferdinand Werner (born the February 21st 1924 with Neunkirchen) is a German Historien .
He made his studies with Heidelberg (arts doctor, history, geography, ecclesiastical history in 1950), then with Paris with the the practical of the High Studies of 1951 with 1953, specializing in the history of world frankly and medieval École before teaching some time in Germany of 1954 with 1968. He became this same year director of the German historical Institut of Paris, until in 1989, and founded in 1973 the review Francia . Deeply European, it also tried to seek the responsibilities and the influences of L `German historiography of XIXe and XXe centuries in the rise of the Nazism. He was elected, the October 11th 1991, was associated foreign with the Académie of the Inscriptions and Belles-Lettres, with the armchair of Marcel Renard.
