Karl Almenröder
Karl Almenröder (* May 3rd 1896 with Wald close to Solingen, (Germany); † June 27th 1917 in France) was have German aviation during the First World War.
Biography
Almenröder studied medicine with Marburg before the First World War. After having was used in a regiment as field artillery, it was transferred, at the same time as his/her brother, with the air force in 1916.
Under the command of the “ Baron Rouge ” Manfred von Richthofen, Almenröder served in the famous flotilla Jasta 11. It was killed at the time of an aerial combat in June 1917 whereas he had become the commander of the flotilla.
Before its Almenröder death cut down 30 enemy planes what was worth to him to be decorated with iron the Croix of 2nd and 1st class, the order of the house of Hohenzollern like with highest Prussian decoration, the order For the merit.
