Karl Alex Steffen

Karl Alex Steffen is a group of pop-rock'n'roll French resulting from the French-speaking scene orléanaise. This group was formed with the beginning of the year 2000. It is composed today, of four members: Karl Alex Steffen in person with the song and the guitar, Sebastien Janjou with the guitar, Pierre Schmitt with low and Charly Bouchet with the battery

Its music must as much with pop of Anglo-Saxon origin, with the post-rock'n'roll that with the French song. After a EP “the Blow of the Century” and a mini album “Ticket Express train” recorded with Erik Arnaud, the group is on the point of presenting its 1st album “the Wide variation”. Recorded this time Ci per EP and Arnaud Astréoud, mixed by Erik Arnaud, the digipack presents the enigmatic adventures of two characters, Martha and Lester.

Karl Alex Steffen played on the principal scenes of current musics and rock'n'roll (Astrolable in Orleans (45), Chato of O in Blois (41), the Workshop (45), in Small Faucheux de Tours (37), with the Three Goldsmiths (37), Pian' S (45), etc) like on many festivals like the Spring of Bourges (18) or Defi' stival of Jean Saint of the Lane (45). Thus the group, with the pop influences, accompanied by the phenomena like Keren Ann, Matmatah, Florent Marchet or Erik Arnaud.
