Karkwa

The musical group Québécois Karkwa was formed in 1998 within the framework of the contest Cégeps in spectacle. It is composed of Louis-Jean Cormier, Stephan Bergeron, François Lafontaine, Martin Lamontagne and Julien Sagot. They reach the provincial final of this contest in 1999, then on the occasion to make ten services in France thanks to a collaboration of the French and Quebec Office for youth. Karkwa will reach in 2001 the final of Francouvertes.

The group produced two albums rock'n'roll, that is to say the boarding school of the benches in November 2003 and the tremors immobilize in November 2005, under the label Audiogram and with the exceptional participation of the singer worship Brigitte Fontaine.

They were invited to make services within the framework of the Festival of international summer of Quebec, of the French-speaking Very favorite of Quebec and Montreal as well as FrancoFolies of Montreal and Spa.
