Karel Brančik

Karel (or Karol or Karl or Carolus ) Brančik (or Brančsik ) is a Médecin and a Naturaliste, born the March 13rd 1842 with Stará Bystrica and dead the November 18th 1915 with Trenčín (Hungary).

He exerts medicine with Trenčín and is interested in the Entomologie, the Malacologie and the Botanique. He founds in 1913 the natural history museum of Trenčín. He constitutes a rich person collection of coleopters which will be acquired by the entomologist Viennese Eduard Knirsch (1869-1955) before being received by the Field Museum off Natural History of Chicago.
