Karatsu
Karatsu (唐津市) is a Japanese city of the Préfecture of Saga (island of Kyūshū). Its population is of: 133980 inhabitants.
Geography
Located on the northern coast of the island of Kyūshū, the city is to 45 km in the west of Fukuoka.
Close to the city draw up the mounts Sakurei (887 m), Hachiman (763 m) and Tonbo (535 m)

History
The name Karatsu is formed by the Kanji " kara" (China) and " tsu" (port), which indicates the importance of the city in the bonds between Japan and China.
In 1602, to replace the castle of Nagoya, the castle of Karatsu was set up and became the heart of the city.
