Karaburun

Karaburun (in French “points black”) is a town of Turkey located at the edge of the Aegean Sea on the peninsula which bears its name. It is the chief town of one of the districts of the province of İzmir.

The city saw mainly agriculture (Olive S, Câpre S and also the narcisses which are the local speciality) and of fishing but tries to develop tourism, in spite of a relatively difficult road access.

Since 2004, the city accommodates a festival at the beginning of August.
