Kapilavastu
Kapilavastu is the name of the city which was the capital of the clan of the Śākya, that of Siddhārtha Gautama, the future Bouddha, where the palate of his/her father was, the king Shuddhodana, and where it remained, according to the tradition, until the 29 years age.
The king of the Koshala, Virûdhaka, the suzerain of Śākya would have destroyed the city of the time of living of the Buddha.
One located Kapilavastu either with Lumbinî at the Nepal, his traditional site, or with Piprâwâ in India, this last localization seeming more probable.
