Kaouara

Kaouara is a city of the Republic of Ivory Coast whose coordinates are: Lat: 10:07: 13N (10.1204) Lon: 5:09: 55W (- 5.1653).

Monument

The Mosque of Kaouara built in the neighborhoods of the 18th century by Ouattara Bakouneri , is characterized particularly by its architecture from Minaret S and buttresses in form from warheads. A Imam of the name of Sylla Bassandi is buried in the court of the mosque on the west coast. The mosque is divided inside into three parts, of West in East:

  • the space of prayer of the ladies where the staircase is which leads to the terrace

  • the space of prayer of the men

Although Community, this mosque is not often restored and is relatively badly preserved.
