Kanuri
The Kanuri form a African Ethnie living in the North-East of the Nigeria in the State de Borno, with the Niger like with the Chad and the Cameroun. The Recensement Native of Niger of 1988 estimated at 320,000 Kanuris alive in this country and currently at 2,5 million on the various countries concernés.
Their language is the Kanuri of the family of the nilo-Saharan Langues. She is also spoken in Niger, with the Cameroun, the Sudan, like the Chad.
Kanuris practice a Islam (as of XIe century) interfered traditional worships. They are Patrilinéaires and have hierarchical statutes. May (shehu) was regarded with the head of their feudal system as divine gasoline. They are opposed traditionally to the Fulbe.
