Kanjiža

Kanjiža , in Serb Cyrillic Sr Кањижа and in Hungarian Sr Magyarkanizsa, is a city and a municipality of Serbia located in the autonomous province of Voïvodine. They belong to the district of the septentrional Banat. In 2002, the city counted: 10200 inhabitants and the municipality of which it is the center: 27510, of which a majority of Hungarian.

Kanjiža is located on the edges of the Tisa.
