Kamensk-Ouralski
Kamensk-Ouralski (in Russian: Ка́менск-Ура́льский) is a city of the Oblast de Sverdlovsk, in Russia. It is located at the Confluent rivers Kamenka and Iset, in (the basin of the Ob and to 100 km in the south-east of Iekaterinbourg. The city counts: 181600 inhabitants in 2007.
A foundry is created in 1700 on the site of the city which becomes a manufacture of guns in 1701 pennies the impulse of Pierre Large the. The agglomeration of Kamensk is served by the railroad as from 1885, then obtains the statute of city in 1935: it takes the name of Kamensk-Ouralski then. Its population reached: 51000 inhabitants in 1939 ; a factory of Alumine is installed the same year. The population strongly believes during the Second world war thanks to the fold of the factories like that of the manufacture of tubes from the zones occupied by the Germans.
The main activities relate today to the manufacture of steel alumina and tubes.
