Kamala Purnaiya Taylor

Kamala Purnaiya Taylor (1924 with Mysore - May 16th 2004 with London) is an Indian écrivaine and journalist which wrote under the pseudonym Kamala Markandaya .

Biography

She studied the history at the university of Madras.

Between 1940 and 1947, it worked as journalist in certain Indian newspapers in which it also published some news.

During the war, she worked for the army and then emigrated in England in 1948 after the independence of the India. She met there her husband who gave him a girl and passed the remainder of his life there.

Its major work, Rice and the harvest ( Nectar in has sieve ), a best seller, made known to him success in 1954.

She died at the 80 years age, on May 16th, 2004 in her residence of London.
