Kali (Ugljan)
Kali is a village located on the Island of Ugljan in Croatia. Dealing with Zadar, Kali is populated of 1731 inhabitants in 2001. Its two ports, its thonnery and its population of fishermen considered in the whole world make a locality tourist of it than the remainder of the island, in particular maintaining an economic activity out of the summer season. Each year in August, a “ celebrates pêcheurs ” very popular is organized. The old village is located on a hill. Its narrow streets consist of traditional stone houses. The church is dedicated to the owner of the city Saint Laurent (Sveto Lovre).
Lincoln port
Many fishermen originating in Kali emigrated with Port Lincoln, in Australia, where they form an important community. This city, called by the press the port of the fishermen millionaires , popularized by the tuna boats of Dalmatian origin Tony Santic and Sime Sarin, maintains a bond with Kali and is responsible for an important money surge there. Tony Santic decided besides to acquire a property there.
