The the Saar, the channel of the Collieries and the line of Railroad of Metz to Strasbourg constitute main roads of circulation which skirts the western edge of the round of applause.

History

A Mesolithic station , burials of Ier age of iron as well as a furnace bridge with Junon and two Bas-relief S Gallo-Roman discovered with Weidesheim and partially employed again in the Chapelle testify to the seniority of the site. Kalhausen is mentioned in 1425 in the form Kalenhausen , of the Germanic name of man Kallo and of the German viel Hus , Haus , the house.

From the spiritual point of view, the village and its variation of Hutting depended on the church-mother of Achen before becoming Paroisse of the archpriest of Rohrbach in 1804. A first Chapelle dedicated to Sainte high Catherine in 1734 succeeded the church Saint-Floriant rebuilt in 1846 - 1847 on plans of the Architecte Louis Schwartz of Sarreguemines. From the administrative point of view, the village and its variations belonged to the canton of Bouquenom between 1790 and 1793, before being placed in that of Rohrbach, Weidesheim being attached him only in 1811.
