Kakichi Mitsukuri
Kakichi Mitsukuri (箕作佳吉: 1857-1909) are a zoologist Japan board, born in 1857 with Edo and died in 1909.
It comes to study with the the United States of America in 1873 and receives a pH. D. with the Université Yale in 1879 thus with that with the University Johns Hopkins in 1883. He becomes professor at the department of sciences of the imperial university of Tōkyō in 1882 and member of the council of the university in 1893.
In 1896, it is with the head of commission on the otaries and signs, in the name of Japan, a treaty with the United States and the Great Britain. In 1901, he becomes the senior of the Faculty of Science of the university of Tokyo and, in 1907, he east decorates about the temple crowned in thanks of the rendered services. The end of its life is largely dominated by administrative tasks.
He is regarded as one of the most important zoologists of Japan. Its most significant publications are a series of articles on the embryology of the tortoises which appears of 1886 to 1896.
