Kaizers Orchestrated

Kaizers Orchestra is a Norwegian rock group of the area of Bryne (in the south of Stavanger), founded in 2000

History

Janove Ottesen and Geir Zahl, having previously played in the groups Blod, Snått & Juling and Gnom , first of all, began Kaizers Orchestra like a project. They wished to create something moreover “gross” and more energetic than than they made in Blod, Snått og Juling and Gnom.

The name of the group is inspired by a verse of “Bastard” of Gnom. “Eg blei tatt hånd front om of screw Mr. Kaizer/Han er den stolte eiger front verdens tyngste siameser”. In this song, one can hear a solo of percussions on barrels of petrol, this characteristic becomes the “trademark” of Kaizers Orchestra.

In 2001, the group leaves its first album Ompa til the dør , album accommodated very well by the public like criticism. It is the album of rock'n'roll more sold of Norway.

In 2003, the group leaves its second album Evig Pint which arrives very quickly at the head of the Norwegian charts.

In 2004, they sign a contract with Universal Records.

In 2005, they launch the album Maestro , very great business success to Norway and beyond its borders. What enables them to make a European round.
