Kaiô Shin

In the Manga Dragon Ball , Kaiô Shin is the generic name given to the God X reigning on the Univers, they function on the same principle as the Kaiô.

They are five, one per cardinal point plus supreme Kaiô Shin (Dai Kaiô Shin), and live all on planet forming the paradise. They have capacities largely higher than those of the Kaiô but are not the Almightyes, they are also mortals.

History

In the series, one hears of them at the time of the saga Boo. They were confronted with the monster created by Bibidi several thousands of years before at the time of engagements being held with the Kaiôshinkaï.

Kaiô Shin of the west, being appeared as one young woman to the pink skin, was the first to face Boo and was quickly killed. Kaiô Shin of north was the following, this old man with the blue skin follower of angling fought courageously Boo with a sword (the edge into two, but without effect) but was him also killed.

The scenario changes a little with the appearance of Kaiô Shin of the south, most powerful of the gods, which offers a resistance baited to the monster; recognizing its value Boo will absorb it in order to increase its power (it becomes much more massive then). Finally he faces Kaiô Shin of the east which he prepares to eliminate when Dai Kaiô Shin itself assists from this last.

Not really gifted with the combat, the supreme god, a large gracious and nice catch, is quickly absorbed but it thus transmits its Bonté to the monster. Boo does not complete the last Kaiô Shin and from goes away in company of Bibidi, later, not being able more to control it, this last locks up it in a cocoon then is killed by the last of Kaiô Shin.

This Kaiô Shin of the east will have a big role in Dragon Ball (under the name of Shin in the French televised version). In the saga another will have its importance: the Rou Dai Kaiô Shin.
