Kahra

Kahra: a village kabyle located in the middle of the Kabylie at 27 km North-eastern of the place chief of Tizi-Ouzou. Kahra is a point of meeting of the roads towards Freha which is at 5Km, Tiziouzou and Souk-elhad (8 km, 12Km have timizart)….

Question 1: who are the first newcomers with this ground?.

The first newcomers with Kahra are:

IZAGHDOUDENE. IBOURHLITHENE. IKEROUTENE. ISSAALITHENE. (HAS IF ALI). IDJROUVAH (IDIR HAS).

Question 2. or they already installed before this ground?.

In the prmiers time (in 1840--->1850) the first newcomers with KAHRA are installed

with THALA ZAOUCH to 2 km of current KAHRA. Then they moved towards Kahra current for better aired and to work the ground.

Question 3. why they chose this ground?.

They chose Kahra first of all because it was close to the river of Sebaou and in more this ground is plane and ideal for the construction of the houses and to cultivate its ground, but only incovenient was that Kahra was flat brooms. All these factors played a great part to choose this ground.

Question 4. that it is the cause of their emigration?.

For their cause of emigration one can find several versions, y' has those which say that they are French who forced the first to leave their village (with Mekla to build colonial villages, and that because of bad living conditions which are reigned with AMRAOUA. And it y' has others which say that all the Inhabitants of AMRAOUA are criminals before being here, Therefore can be that they did something of evil in their village root then they fled, and y' has others which say that because of the battles of the kabyles " Fathma Soumar" and " Nath Kaci" that they fled here….????!!.

Name KAHRA… for the name of " If me hamed Oukkehar".

Question 6. Why name AMRAOUA?.

Name AMRAOUA came from name AMARED or to fill in kabyle thus since this area is filled (way of speaking) by families it is borne name AMRAOUA " remplissage.AMRAOUA is divided into two:

1.celle of the Top (Kahra, IMZIZOU, GUENDOUL, TAMDA, TABOUKIRT….).

2.celle of bottom (BAGHLIA, SIDI-NAAMANE….).

Question 7. or passed the first installed to KAHRA?

One notices that the majorities of the first newcomers with Kahra are disappeared, (like Izaghdoudene, ibourhlithene…) and that because they are exterminated by the French Armies at the time of their presence with Kahra, and their grounds is occupied by other inhabitants.

Question 8. Which is the current number of inhabitants (2002)?.

according to roughly studied statistics it y' has meadows of 1500 inhabitants of them.

including +60% girls.

it y' has exactly for the year 2002, 47 families (Laaziv bouhmile included).

Question 10. Why the commune of Kahra is disappeared with disappearance from French?

In fact did, the French Army install a seat of the S.A.S (Special Administrative Section) to activate and torture the combatants (MOUDJAHIDINES), and then it became the commune of KAHRA (see the seal in the heading of photographs of KAHRA), but the day before independence the commune is transferred to Freha by avoiding (Zaama) problems which can produce there, but also because of other people of other neighbouring villages which were jealous to see the commune with Kahra .......????
