Kagyu-Dzong

The center Kagyu-Dzong is a center of the school Kagyupa of the Bouddhisme Tibetan. This center is related to the 17th Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje. It is point of disjunction in a temple of style Tibetan and bouthanais which was inaugurated the January 27th 1985, built near the Pagoda of the Bois of Vincennes, seat of the Buddhist International institute founded by Jean Sainteny.

In 1980, Kalou Rinpoché, conferred on the Pagode wood of Vincennes, the great Initiation of Kalachakra. It met on this occasion Jean Ober, general secretary of the Buddhist International institute and together, they worked out construction project of a temple Tibetan. The plans establish by the architect Jean-Luc Massot on the directives of Kalou Rinpoché, were approved by the Mairie of Paris. The first stone was posed the March 20th 1983 the work completed by private companies and the many voluntary ones took two years.

The center of Kagyu-Dzong is related to the center Vajradhara-Ling in Normandy and Kalou Rinpoché entrusted the responsibility for it to its disciple, LAMA Gyourmé.

Since 2006, each year, an artistic event takes place with Kagyu-Dzong on the topic “Peace and Light” to support a construction project of the Temple for Peace near Vajradhara-Ling.
