Kad and Olivier

Kad Merad

Born the March 27th 1964 with Sidi-Beautiful-Abbots (in Algeria) from an Algerian father and a mother berrichone. From its true name Kaddour Merad , it very early begins its career from artist. It is only ten years old when it assembles its first rock group. It then acts of singer, but also as beater. After several odd jobs, it is illustrated with the Club Med in the comic troop of the Gigolo brothers then launches out in the Théâtre, where it will play the traditional repertory (Andromaque, the Misanthropist…) under the direction of Jacqueline Duke.

In 1991, it becomes stimulating on the Parisian radio Oüi FM.

Olivier Baroux

Born the January 5th 1964 with Caen, it follows a more traditional way and after five years to cover the great events for radio operator Norman RVS, it becomes stimulating on a free radio with Caen.

In 1991, it enters to Oüi FM, where it meets Kad.

The duet

They then decide to work together as of the year 1992. Their emission Rock' N roll circus is a success and Jean-Luc Delarue then proposes to them to work with him in several emissions, in particular Déjà Sunday where they parodied politicians with small figurines. The public discovers them then on TV.

In 1998, a series of their creation, the 30 last minutes is diffused weekly (and with a very late schedule) on France 2.

Of 1999 with 2001, Kad and O present the Large Emission on the chain Comédie!. They will work then on Canal+ where they will make many appearances in Sketch S and will present in 2003 and 2004 the emission Saturday evening on line (French version of Saturday Night Live diffused on NBC). The duet also appears in several films such as Beuze or Only of happiness . They are said different and complementary, and in spite of the hundreds of sketch which they have Co-writings, of which series of Kamoulox celebrates it, they do not think of separating.

In 2003, they hold the high-speed motorboat in the film But which killed Pamela Rose? , a pastiche of police film which gathers sketches that they improvised ten years ago, whereas they still officiated with the radio. They play the inefficient police officers Bullit and Riper which inquires into the murder of a stripper: Pamela Rose.

In 2005, Kad and Olivier incarnate two geniuses in the comedy Iznogoud of Patrick Braoudé.

The January 18th 2006, the film a ticket for space , for which they are, just like in But which killed Pamela Rose? , authors, leave to the cinema.

Olivier carries out its first film in 2007: This evening I sleep at home in which Kad interprets a big role.
