Kacem Zhiri
Zhiri (Kacem) is a Moroccan diplomat (born with Salé the March 25th 1920 - died with Rabat the May 30th 2004).
Nationalist and signatory of Proclamation of Independence 1944. He was imprisoned at the 16 years age for his activities in the national movement. Kacem Zhiri occupied various stations such as directing Editor association then newspaper “Al Alam”, first director of the radio Moroccan diffusion before becoming ambassador of Morocco to the Senegal, Algérie, Yugoslavia, Mauritania, Suisse, Saudi Arabia, China Populaire.
It is only later, which it was named delegated of the Arab League and Assistant general secretary of the Islamic conference. Author of several works whose “Mohamed V, the king hero” and “Islamic panorama”, this large militant for the independence of Morocco was also Ministre for Higher education and Technique then Ministre with the Royal Cabinet.
