Kabuto (helmet)
Traditional Casque of the Japanese armor employed by the Samurai S. It is the is made up in the shape of a bomb made up of various metal plates forged and riveted between them protecting the top from cranium as well as a series of flexible plates ( shikoro ) protecting the neck. These helmets could be decorated with a maedate (frontal ornament) and the my (blazon of the clan of membership of the samurai).

- Namban Kabuto (helmets of foreign inspiration: European, Korean, Chinese)
- Suji-bachi (helmets with plates)
- Kawari Kabuto (helmets of strange forms): used mainly during the civil wars of the time Azuchi Momoyama.
